NASN is interested in gathering additional stories pertaining to the implementation of immunization programs in school. Stories about influenza immunization programming are of particular interest.  We would appreciate any feedback on this experience and the effects it may have had on the school or surrounding community. If possible, please address the following items in your story. Thank you very much!

  • Do you have any experience with influenza immunization programs in schools? If so, can you share how successful the program was and what resources were used for implementation?
  • Who are the most valuable partners for a successful school-based immunization program?
  • What resources do school nurses need most to implement a school-based immunization program for influenza?
  • What are some other important factors to consider before setting up a school-based immunization program?
