What meals are provided:
Continental Breakfast will be served Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.  A break will be served Friday afternoon.
 
 
New this year:
• The conference will officially open at 4:00 p.m. on June 29, 2010. 
• There will be no Annual Banquet this year.  Many individuals shared they had to make the decision to attend the Endowment Event or Annual Banquet.  We will hold an Annual Banquet in 2011 to celebrate the induction of a new president.
 
Conference Syllabus: 
NASN is again "Going Green" in an effort to be environmentally conscious and better manage resources.  Speaker handouts that are submitted will be available in the NASN2010 Conference Community Site.  The Community Site will open shortly after early bird registration.  A link will be provided here and emailed ot attendees.  Attendees wanting handouts onsite must download handouts ahead of time.  Remember:
PRINTERS ARE NOT AVAILABLE ON-SITE!
    
Continuing Education:
You will receive Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) contact hours for the conference sessions.  In order to conform to recently revised American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation (ANCC) guidelines, NASN uses the commission's guidelines of 60 minutes = 1 contact hour. 
You may earn up to 19.75 contact hours for full participation in the four-day Conference.  An additional 6.5 or 6.0 contact hours can be earned for attendance at a full day pre-conference session on June 29 or up to an additional 3.5 contact hours can be earned for attending a one-half day pre-conference session on June 29.  
 
Confirmation of Registration:
Your registration will receive a confirmation.  Be sure to review your confirmation letter for accuracy.

Tickets and Session Seating:
Pre-Registration is required for all Pre-Conference Sessions, Consortium of School Nurse Educators Meeting, NASN Endowment Event, Past NASN Board of Directors Tea, and Affiliate Presidents Luncheon.  Tickets will be required for admittance to these sessions/events and will be provided to attendees when they check in at the Conference registration desk.  
Pre-Registration is NOT required for Breakout Sessions and General Sessions.  Seating is available on a first-come/first-serve basis, allowing all attendees an equal opportunity to attend the session(s) of their choice, and is limited to the capacity of the meeting room.  Please note: meeting room capacity varies for each session.  Please arrive early to assure a seat.

What your 4-day Registration Includes:
4-Day Conference Registration includes admittance to all general sessions, all breakout sessions, poster presentations, awards presentations, the NASN Annual Business Meeting, and the Exhibit Hall.  Included in your registration materials will be the Final Conference Program, Name Badge, and Event Tickets.


What to do when you get to the conference:
Conference attendees will stop by the registration desk to pick up their registration materials.  The registration desk will be open at noon on Monday, June 28, 2010 and at 7:00 a.m. each day beginning thereafter.

Cancellation Policy:
Refunds will be provided, less a $75.00 assessment fee, if the NASN office receives notification of cancellation via fax, email, phone or regular mail by June 11, 2010.  Phone cancellations must be confirmed in writing (certified mail recommended).  Refunds will be processed following the conference. 
In addition, all ticketed events are non-refundable.
 
Guests:
A Guest ticket includes Exhibits and admittance to General Sessions.  Continuing Nursing Education contact hours are not available for Guests.

Student and Retired Rates:
Student registration rate is available to NASN members classified as Student.  Retired registration rate is available to NASN members classified as Retired.

Substitutions:
NASN reserves the right to substitute topics/speakers if necessary.  All listed presenters are confirmed at press time.

Transfer of Registration Policy:
NASN Conference registrations are nontransferable unless there is no change to the billing information and arrangements are made with the NASN office.
  


The National Association of School Nurses is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
