History
Over the years, many inspiring stories from stellar candidates have been submitted for the National School Nurse of the Year award.  After careful study by a president-appointed task force, the Board of Directors approved in June 2009, that NASN recognize "Excellence in School Nursing" annually by honoring one School Nurse of the Year from each affiliate.  The NASN Board of Directors will work with staff to determine how to recognize the affiliate nominees nationally at the NASN Annual Conference.
