June is LGBT Pride Month, an ideal time for school nurses to turn advocacy into action. The NASN program, Advocacy and Action: How School Nurses Can Help LGBTQ Students Thrive, reviews current literature and evidence-based practices, methods for professional development and partnership building, and helps evaluate current school climates. You'll receive a toolkit with resources and an implementation checklist to improve your school climate and the safety of LGBTQ youth.
Once complete, participants will receive 1.0 NCPD contact hours, and there is no cost for NASN members. Learn more.
