NASN is excited to announce that as part of NASN’s 2021 plan to celebrate School Nurse Day on May 12, we are planning a social media campaign to help educate our stakeholders on the important role that you play every day in ensuring that our nation’s school children are prepared and supported to learn. While this effort would be important in any year, it is especially timely this year given the crucial role school nurses are playing in ensuring a safe and sustainable reopening of schools.
For this effort to be successful, we need your voice! Please take a moment to share your thoughts with us through our video portal. When you click on this link, you will go to the NASN page which will provide detailed instructions on how to submit your video. We will use these videos throughout the month of May (and beyond!) on our social media platforms, including Facebook.
The questions are simple, and we hope you will speak from the heart about why you do this important work, what motivates you each day and what has challenged you about being a school nurse during the COVID-19 pandemic. Don’t feel any pressure to make your submissions “perfect” they can be as short as 30 seconds and rest assured, we will edit for brevity and clarity as needed.
Submissions are due by Friday, May 7.
