Hi All!

I'm writing from a newly created "Community Health & Wellness Specialist" role that lives in the equity department of a district that serves 40,000 students. I have been a pediatric nurse for 25 years, a school nurse for the past 8 years until I moved into this new position in June of this year. The position seeks to promote wellness in our historically underserved populations - with a focus on equity and belonging. What a time to step into that work. 

I'm disappointed to have a schedule conflict that won't permit me to attend the first DEI SIG meeting tomorrow. However, I look forward to connecting in upcoming months! Please feel free to reach out any time for connection / collaboration.
