Bio

Dr. P. Kay Nottingham Chaplin, EdD, has worked in vision screening 23 years; published vision screening papers, conducted 178 vision screening workshops, and presented nearly 250 national webinars and lectures at local, regional, state, national, and international venues.  She received her doctorate in Special Education, with an emphasis on adult learning, from West Virginia University (WVU). Dr. Nottingham Chaplin helped to create the Vision Initiative for Children (VIC) at the WVU Eye Institute, where she worked as Director and Lead Trainer for nearly 8 years. Dr. Nottingham Chaplin serves as the Associate Director of the National Center for Children's Vision and Eye Health at Prevent Blindness. She also oversees the Prevent Blindness Children's Vision Screening Certification Course.
