End Family Fire, an apolitical secure storage education campaign, and the National Association of School Nurses are partnering to present a timely and necessary webinar. This webinar aims to bring school nurses into the conversation about how they can support the end gun of violence in America, a conversation that they are often left out of, while frequently being on the front lines of gun violence in this country. The webinar will cover what secure storage is and how to support families in practicing it, how school nurses can have the conversation about secure storage with parents at their schools, and how school nurses can support their community when an incident of gun violence occurs. Gun violence continues to be the number one killer of children in America along with it being deemed a public health issue by the former U.S. Surgeon General, Dr. Vivek Murthy, it is time to ensure that everyone has the tools they need to curb gun violence in America.
