SNOO is proud to be partnering with the Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) in a one-year project called Project SWITCH (Strengthening Wellness and Improving Teachers and Children's Health). As Oklahoma schools "SWITCH" gears to meet the challenges of COVID-19, this project offers opportunities for physical education teachers, school nurses, or other individuals who provide these services to students to participate in networks of support for the 2020-21 school year. Efforts will be specifically aimed at sharing strategies for the Centers for Disease Control's (CDC) COVID-19 school-based guidance for physical education and/or school health services. There will be a physical education teacher and a school nurse in your region who will lead three virtual meetings (between November 5th, 2020, and May 22, 2021) around the CDC guidance and ongoing resources being produced to support schools this year.
