  1. Main button bar (main navigation)

  3. Text links at the bottom (leave as is - the site's links at the bottom are managed in the site's layout)
NOTE: Parent pages are the main pages and Child pages are the sub pages

[ Software documentation: https://support.higherlogic.com/hc/en-us/articles/360033047191-Create-Pages ]
  • Click and drag Add Page tool to the location you want
    • OR, locate and select the parent page, select Add from the ellipses menu
    • NOTE: The page will be in a DRAFT state until you publish.
  • Configure the Page Properties
    • Visible in Navigation (do you want visitors to see this on your main navigation bar)

Create the Page Layout and add Content Types
[ Software documentation: https://support.higherlogic.com/hc/en-us/articles/360033047111-Build-Page-Layout-and-Content ]
  • Select Edit Navigation and Locate the Page
  • Select the page to edit: Click the edit button or find the page's ellipses menu and choose Edit.
    • The page will need layout rows and content types
  • Drag rows to your page to create the layout you want
    • Full-width or fixed width (default to full-width unless you have a specific design you are trying to deploy)
  • Drag content types to the appropriate space(s) in the rows
    • Content type types:
      • HTML is the main content type you will use.
      • Widgets are used to display discussions, events, blogs, photo albums and more. These can be tricky so reach out if you think you need one so that you have support.
      • Avoid using Hyperlink/URL, JavaScript, Syndicated Content and File Upload. If you think you need Hyperlink or File Upload, use HTML instead and use the text editor in the HTML content type to create a hyperlink and/or upload a file. The HTML content type is more versatile.
  • Configure the Content Properties
    • Name or title (if you have one content type on the page, the title can be the same as the page title)
    • CSS Wrapper (if you want it to have a thin border around it, add this: HLLandingControl)
    • View Permissions (usually leave as everyone but know that you can make content visible to members only by choosing your membership types)
  • Be sure to save as you go and then SAVE and PUBLISH to have the new content show on your website (if you only save and don’t publish, it will remain in an editing state)
