Hi All,
I want to clarify about the updated Exam Content Outline and updated study materials, since there have been quite a few questions.
NBCSN has updated the Exam Content Outline (ECO) to reflect the results from the Job Task Analysis that was conducted in 2023. This needs to be done every 5 years for accreditation purposes. Having said that, the content has been re-organized and updated, but not essentially changed. The new ECO is based on what school nurses from accross the country see as important issues and frequent activities in the profession.
There will be a new NCSN Review Book and Dr. Selekman is recording a new e-session that will both be available soon. However, if you have already purchased and are using the current materials, they are definitely appropriate for the upcoming exams as well. It is just important to know that the domains have been re-organized and simplified. The content is the same. NBCSN plans to release the new review book around mid-May. I cannot speak to release date of the e-course, as well as if there will be updated flashcards, they are produced by NurseBuilders, not NBCSN.
I hope this helps!
Sandi

Hi Janice,
I just ordered and watched your current review class. Do I need to watch the new version as well or the current version good enough for taking the test in the fall? I also wanted to get the flash cards but was not sure if I should wait to purchase then in cast the changed as well.

There will NOT be a virtual presentation. However I just retaped the review course for NurseBuilders to match the new test plan. It should be ready in May.
