Have you considered how effective your school's efforts are at educating young people about their health? Is the curriculum scientifically accurate, age-appropriate, culturally sensitive and trauma-informed? Are people with disabilities, those from traditionally marginalized groups, gender-diverse folks, and others excluded from what is often outdated and non-inclusive programming? And what can you, as a school nurse, do to advocate for more comprehensive and equitable health education? These are major components of our public health and leadership responsibilities under the newly-revised School Nursing Practice Framework. Join us at #NASN2024 on Friday, June 28 at 1:00pm, to explore how we can impact what our students learn about their bodies, growth and development, disease prevention, and so much more. I look forward to seeing you soon in Chicago--where we will be STRONGER TOGETHER
