NASN Position Statements
Position statements express opinions, beliefs or official positions taken by the organization. NASN position statements have the full force of the association behind them, and are adopted after an internal procedure to ensure that there has been extensive input from the NASN officers, board, membership and content experts.
NASN Issue Briefs
Issue briefs are intended to provide informational reports on school nurse health issues impacting children and/or schools. Issue Briefs are approved by the president, executive director, and other association leaders in that area. Issue briefs are reviewed and renewed or allowed to expire every five years.

NASN Endorsed Position Statements
Position statements express opinions, beliefs or official positions taken by the organization. NASN may at times endorse position statements generated by other organizations. Such statements undergo a review process to ensure that they are not in conflict with current NASN position statements or policies. These statements are adopted by the executive committee.
