Speaker Q&A
NASN will provide Slido as the designated Q&A platform.
NASN will ensure attendees understand how to use the app.
A member of the NASN nursing team will serve as the question moderator.
Presenters should encourage attendees to submit questions via Slido.
Presenters must inform the moderator whether questions will be addressed throughout or at the end of the presentation.
Audience Polling
NASN will provide Slido for live polling.
NASN will instruct attendees on using the polling feature.
NASN will launch and close polls at appropriate times and display results on -screen.
Presenters must include each poll on a separate slide and inform NASN of poll locations within their slide when slides are submitted.
Presenters should introduce each poll and allow one minute to responses.
Participant Discussion List
NASN will host an online discussion list for conference attendees and presenters.
Presenters can direct attendees to post follow-up questions or comments.
Icebreakers
Select an icebreaker relevant to your topic to initiate participant interaction.
Case Scenarios
Include a slide outlining the case scenario.
Read the scenario aloud to ensure that attendees hear the scenario.
Prompt attendees to consider the scenario before reviewing the correct response.
Explain the rationale behind the conclusion.
Videos
Video must be embedded within your PowerPoint presentation.
Pause at key moments to ask thought-provoking questions.
For scenario-based video, pause before the resolution and ask participants to predict the outcome.
Live Demonstrations & Hands-On Activity
Conduct a live demonstration, followed by participant practice of the skill or concept.
