It can lead to a range of serious health problems, including type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and psychological issues such as low self-esteem. Early intervention and healthy lifestyle habits are essential to help prevent and manage obesity in young people.

This webinar reviews evidence-based approaches to evaluating and treating pediatric and adolescent obesity, focusing on medication.

Wendy L. Wright, DNP, FNP-C, FAANP, FAAN, is a highly accomplished nurse practitioner with extensive clinical, educational, and entrepreneurial experience. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Alabama and has completed advanced nurse practitioner programs at Simmons University. Dr. Wright owns an award-winning nurse practitioner-led clinic in New Hampshire, leads a medical education company, and serves as Chief Clinical Officer of a technology startup supporting NP-owned clinics. Her numerous honors include being named among the Top 100 Scholars by the University of Alabama, NH Nurse Practitioner of the Year, and one of America's Top 10 NPs. Dr. Wright is also an author, founder of the NH Chamber of Entrepreneurial Nurse Practitioners, and a recognized speaker and consultant in healthcare.
