Description of Position
Mary Institute and St. Louis Country Day School (MICDS) is seeking a kind, caring, and energetic individual to serve in the capacity of School Nurse for grades JK-8. Primary duties include: provision of health services to students, faculty, and staff; maintenance of school health records in accordance with policies and procedures and Missouri state law; and promotion of health and wellness in the school community. The School Nurse for grades JK-8 also provides direct nursing services, first aid, illness and emergency care to students and staff during the academic year as well as the summer months during summer camp and summer school. The ideal candidate will hold a bachelors of science degree in nursing as well as current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Missouri. Current CPR/AED certification is also expected. Prior school nurse or pediatric nurse experience is a must. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and will be adept at using technology for communications and recordkeeping. This position is for the 2012-2013 academic year, with a contract beginning on July 1. The school nurses provide leadership for the provision of health services, including the promotion of a healthy school environment by monitoring immunizations, ensuring appropriate exclusion for infectious illnesses and reporting appropriate health records and communicable diseases as required by law. The school nurses provide health services for students and staff and act as advocates and consultants on health-related issues for students, families and school personnel. They are an integral part of the Avenues program in supporting an optimum physical, mental, emotional and social climate of health and wellness for all students and staff.

Lower School Nurse - Illinois
We are seeking a kind, caring, and responsible Lower School nurse to provide direct professional nursing services, first aid, illness and emergency care for students in grades PreK-4, faculty and staff, in accordance with policies and procedures and Illinois law. The nurse administers medication with appropriate documentation and maintains accurate medical records to ensure compliance with Illinois state mandates. The nurse conducts vision and hearing screenings, re-screening and referrals, keeps a daily visit log, conducts training sessions for faculty as needed, and maintains AED’s on a monthly basis. The ideal candidate is comfortable with and uses technology effectively for recordkeeping. Required qualifications include: Registered Nurse with current Illinois licensure, Bachelor’s degree, and current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation/AED program completion. Position:
Fernwood Cove is a half-season all girls traditional camp located in the lakes region, Maine. We are surrounded by woodlands, rolling meadows and a beautiful lake. Fernwood Cove offers spirit, philosophy and a traditional camp experience, in two separate 3 1/2 week sessions. The two sessions, each about 200 campers, give staff the opportunity to meet and work with two different groups of girls. We are looking for Registered Nurses. We have half-season or full season positions available. Our nurses provide health support for our campers and staff, distribute daily meds, record keeping, communication with camper parents and help keep our community healthy! Our camp’s health Care Center is designed to accommodate our Nurses in individual rooms with personal bath rooms. If you have children we are open to discussing scholarships.
