Join me at IN-PERSON NASN2025 on 6/28/2025 from 2:00 – 3:15 PM for an empowering session, Beyond Ratios: Enhancing Safe and Equitable School Nurse Assignments Through Acuity Measurement.

Has student health acuity increased in your school communities?

Are you coordinating increasing levels of case management in addressing significant student health concerns?

How is an increasing level of acuity affecting your sense of well-being and job satisfaction?

How is school acuity being captured in your school assignments and your school district's current staffing models?

With few validated tools for determining school nurse staffing, Jeffco leaders developed their own Acuity Metric Tool, implementing best practices and an analysis of scope of practice informed data points, including time spent on specific nursing tasks, diversity of student populations, and school-specific data to calculate individual school-based acuity scores.

The outcome? More equitable school nurse assignments reflecting improved student health, safety and learning outcomes, improved school nurse retention, and improved recognition and awareness of the role of the school nurse on student outcomes.

Join us to explore how the Acuity Metric Tool may inform a new way of thinking about equity in school nurse staffing/assignments and improved student outcomes!

This is interesting.  I would like to know more.  How to proceed?

This sounds like an incredibly useful tool. Will this be offered as a program outside of the conference?
