To enhance student wellness and learning by strengthening school nursing practice.
HASN represents the interest and practice of school nurses throughout the state of Hawaii. We seek to promote, protect and enhance professional school nurse practice through advocacy, education, and collaboration.
Goals
To promote the role of the school nurse as an educator and essential health care provider.
To advance public policy that advocates for the health, safety, and well-being of students.
To promote, define, and implement standards for the practice of school nursing.
To provide opportunities for professional development of school nurses.
To promote collaboration and communication amongst members of the Hawai’i school nurse community.
HASN is a 501(c)(3) organization and an Affiliate of the National Association of School Nurses (NASN). Membership dues entitle members to the benefits of both organizations.
