The Disaster in Haiti NASN acknowledges the devastation to the people of Haiti. As health care providers, we are deeply touched by the tremendous loss of life and severe injury sustained by so many. Some of our members serve Haitian-American students who are experiencing distress and fear related to their loved ones in Haiti. Therefore, we support the dedicated efforts of all personnel assisting Haitian-Americans and those who are meeting both the immediate and long-term needs of those suffering and struggling to survive in the nation of Haiti. We encourage anyone wishing to make contributions to do so through the following organizations or any other you deem appropriate: American Nurses Foundation (the money donated will go toward disaster relief, including rebuilding the Haitian nursing infrastructure and assisting the National Association of Haitian Nurses, Association Nationale des Infirmières Licenciées d'Haïti) at or the Red Cross. originally published in NASN's Weekly Digest 01/21/10
