ANF Nursing Research Grant NASN is offering a $3500 research grant through the American Nurses Foundation (ANF) for beginner and experienced nurse researchers for studies to advance nursing science and enhance care. Awardee must be a current member of the National Association of School Nurses (NASN) and a qualified professional school nurse engaged in school nurse practice, education or research, and the study must be pertinent to school nursing or student health. The Disaster in Haiti NASN acknowledges the devastation to the people of Haiti. As health care providers, we are deeply touched by the tremendous loss of life and severe injury sustained by so many. Some of our members serve Haitian-American students who are experiencing distress and fear related to their loved ones in Haiti. Therefore, we support the dedicated efforts of all personnel assisting Haitian-Americans and those who are meeting both the immediate and long-term needs of those suffering and struggling to survive in the nation of Haiti. We encourage anyone wishing to make contributions to do so through the following organizations or any other you deem appropriate: American Nurses Foundation (the money donated will go toward disaster relief, including rebuilding the Haitian nursing infrastructure and assisting the National Association of Haitian Nurses, Association Nationale des Infirmières Licenciées d'Haïti) at or the Red Cross. originally published in NASN's Weekly Digest 01/21/10
