The Epilepsy Foundation obtained grant funding from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Grant # U58/CCU322072) to develop this program. They then approached NASN for assistance in planning the program as a CE activity. (NASN is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a provider of continuing education). ANCC requires participation by NASN in all stages of planning a co-provided CE thus NASN’s Continuing Education Director/nurse planner and a task force of four NASN members worked with the Epilepsy Foundation to design the program and content.
