Vaccination Clinic Resource Guide
Meningococcal Immunization Clinic Program
Due to extraordinary member interest, the National Association of School Nurses (NASN) has enhanced its Get S.M.A.R.T. About Meningitis! meningococcal disease awareness online resource guide to include vaccination clinic materials.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends meningococcal immunization for all adolescents 11-18 years of age.
These new items have been developed to provide school nurses with strategies and tools necessary to conduct school-based meningococcal disease vaccination clinics to aid in the implementation of the CDC recommendations. Several materials included are designed in a “turnkey” or template format – meaning the document features text, indicated in brackets [e.g., INCLUDE NAME OF SCHOOL HERE], that can be customized with your school’s information.
