Location: Highview Elementary

Hours: 6.75 hours per day (works 2-3 days per week -- 87 work days 50/50 split (varies week to week)

Qualifications:

  1. Required Licensure: LPN or RN
  2. Computer skills - data entry
  3. Must possess and maintain a current First Aid Certificate with CPR endorsement
  4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, staff, parents

Bloomington Public Schools - Building Nurse (RN)

Position: Building Nurse
Location: Poplar Bridge Elementary School (K-5 elementary)
Effective Date: 8/24/2026 (start of the 26-27 school year)
Hours: 35 hours per week
Pay: See Health Services Contract
Required Licensure: Licensed RN (2 yr or 4 yr)
Required Experience: Current BLS certification, experience working in a health related field, and experience working with children.

Responsibilities: 
Treatment of illness and injuries, medication administration, health monitoring and screening, tracking immunizations, and health records management.
