Based on the 2025 NCSN exam content outline, participants will receive information that will not only promote national certification exam success, but will also enhance clinical nursing practice. This program will be taught by Dr. Janice Selekman who developed and edited 3 editions of School Nursing: A Comprehensive Text, as well as authored NASN's School Nursing Certification Review.

The Professional Legal Nurse Consultant (PLNC) Certification Course equips school nurses with the specialized knowledge and skills needed to bridge the gap between healthcare and the legal system. The course covers lawsuit processes, report writing, ethics, and expert witness testimony. Description
The participants of this highly interactive and engaging 6-hour seminar will learn how to effectively build a bridge between the school, Spanish-speaking community, and connect those around them by tearing down walls and building up trust in the first five minutes. The participants will learn effective communication skills, which they can use with all students and families, as well as gain targeted and practical Basic Spanish and Medical Spanish communication skills that they will learn to use right from the start. This motivational and informative seminar combines interpersonal communication knowledge, cross-cultural understanding, and linguistic skills in order to truly communicate effectively with different people in every situation in an educational setting. The participant will have a deeper understanding of the many ways in which they send positive and negative messages. Various multiple intelligence teaching strategies will be used in this interactive class such as large and small group activities, conversational partner activities, kinesthetic activities, etc. Students will also receive with the offering a specialized manual and handy pocket guide.

Description
Content, interactive discussion and small group activity will be used to facilitate understanding of the recent ESC! program evaluation, and to help guide responses and planning for next steps. State Data Coordinators will better understand program evaluation as a quality improvement strategy and a precipitator of change. Program evaluation within the context of the Practice Framework will be explored as expectations of involvement in research and in quality improvement. Participants will make responses to content and offer input through review of findings and recommendations from the evaluation. Small group work will help coalesce the future plan. This event is invitation-only.
