Amberlee Miller

    


Bio

Amberlee Miller, RN, NCSN, earned an Associate of Nursing degree from Crowder College in 2004 and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Pittsburg State University in 2023. She has over 20 years of experience in school health nursing and currently serves as the lead and early childhood nurse for Carl Junction Schools. She also works at Freeman Urgent Care and holds certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI). In 2026, she was recognized as the Missouri Association of School Nurses School Nurse Administrator of the Year for her leadership and contributions to school health.

Amberlee has served multiple terms on the Missouri Association of School Nurses executive committee, contributed to planning conferences in 2020 and 2025, and presented on individualized healthcare plans, diabetes care, nurse self-care, and partnerships with public health agencies. She currently serves as vice-chair of the Missouri Suicide Prevention in Schools Committee, helping revise the Missouri 988 Guide for Schools and supporting the development and delivery of Crisis Response Team content for the 2026 Missouri Hope Policy Academy. She also serves as secretary for the newly established NASN Rural School Nurse Special Interest Group (SIG).

Her accomplishments include participation in the 2013 Johnson & Johnson School Health Leadership program, which led to the development of a school-linked healthcare clinic and a school-based mental health clinic in partnership with a local healthcare system. She also participated in the 2023 AAP MO-TEAMS project assessing school health policies, serves on the Jasper County Community Health Coalition, and has hosted school-based public health initiatives such as poverty simulations, drug impairment awareness training, and educational opportunities for school nurses.

As a member of the inaugural Goldfarb MSN-School Nurse cohort with anticipated graduation in August 2026, she aims to advance her own education and that of fellow school nurses while enhancing the health, wellness, and safety of children and communities across Missouri.
