On March 14, 2024, as part of his continued work to bolster rural health care and advocate for kids, U.S. Senator Jon Tester (MT) introduced his Nurses for Under-Resourced Schools Everywhere (NURSE) Act to help rural and underserved schools hire more school nurses and increase student access to care. View Senator Tester's press release.

"The urgency of passing the NURSE Act is paramount; it is essential for supporting our nation's children, dismantling barriers, and ensuring equal access to healthcare for academic success," said Lisa Flanagan, MSN, RN, NCSN, President of Montana Association of School Nurses.
