The honor of Fellow is the most prestigious recognition that members can receive from the National Association of School Nurses (NASN). It is a symbol of superior achievement in the school nursing profession and exceptional contributions to NASN and the profession of school nursing. The depth and breadth of the Fellow’s imprint on the field is extraordinary; their contributions have had significant and enduring impact, and their exemplary leadership qualities and achievements are recognized by many.
The award of Honorary Fellow is a prestigious recognition to honor committed contributors and supporters of the NASN Vision, that all students are healthy, safe, and ready to learn. Individuals chosen for the award are non-nurses who are leaders in their fields and who partner with school nurses to elevate and advance the health of children and youth. Honorees will be selected based on the degree of impact on and contribution to the health of children and youth and to school nursing in one or more of the Framework principles.
