Data infrastructure

A data collection system is important for the success of the National School Health Data Set: Every Student Counts! data initiative.  The National Association of School Nurses (NASN) will:

  • Work with key partner organizations and researchers to develop an infrastructure to gather, store, and analyze data. (ALL data will be kept confidential.)
  • Promote the integration of school health data with already existing data sources.
  • Work with vendors to support data collection and interoperability of student health data.

NASN received a contract from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to assist in developing the national platform infrastructure.  Learn more.

The new platform is launched and is the way school nurses submit their data into the data set.
