Being on the NASN Endowment Committee has afforded me the opportunity to see how valuable our contributions to the NASN Endowment Fund are. Plain and simple, the endowment fund was established to advance school nursing practice by (1) supporting research about school nurses and health, (2) Funding grants to improve school nursing practice and school affiliated delivery of healthcare, and (3) Providing scholarships for school nurses seeking graduate degrees and/or certification in advanced nursing practice.
Looking deeper, I found what meaningful contributions and topics the funds have been used for (with a few activities thrown in)....Ready!
