Once you have joined the Association of School Nurses of Connecticut (ASNC), you will be subscribed to the discussion list as well as given access to all member content on the ASNC website.
The discussion list is a great way to share ideas and knowledge with your colleagues, ask questions and get input from your colleagues, and get updates from ASNC.
Here are some details about the discussion list to help you get the most out of this important member benefit.
What if you aren't receiving mail from the discussion list?
- Go to your profile on the website to be sure ASNC has the correct email address on file. Update the email address if needed. NOTE: If you do not know your website login, you can request a login reminder email.
- Go to your profile on the website and check to be sure there is not a block on your email address. In your profile, go to the my account tab and select community notifications. If the discussion list has blocked your email address, it will say so here.
- Go to your profile on the website and check your discussion list preferences. In your profile, go to the my account tab and select community notifications. Scroll down to the ASNC discussion list and make sure your preference is set to Real Time or Daily Digest and not No Email.
- Mark the following email addresses as safe senders:
DoNotReply@connectedcommunity.org
Mail@ConnectedCommunity.org
How do you send an email to the discussion list?
Messages can be sent to the discussion list on the ASNC website or from your email program.
NOTE: If choosing to send a message from your email program, you must send from the email address on file with ASNC.
- To send a new message to the discussion list on the ASNC website, go to the post a message interface. You will find this on the website under the ASNC Community menu option.
- To send a reply to a message on the ASNC website, go to the discussion list and find the message in the list of messages. You will find this on the website under the ASNC Community menu option.
- To send a new message from your email program, address a new message to this email address nasn-asnc@connectedcommunity.org
- To send a reply to a message from your email program, use the reply to group button associated with the message as found in the discussion list email you receive.
Can you send a reply to an individual instead of the entire list?
If your reply will be useful to the entire group, please reply to the group. If it is only beneficial to the sender, you can reply to the sender. Each of the discussion list messages includes a reply to group button and a reply to sender button.
Discussion List Rules and Etiquette
ASNC follows the community rules and etiquette of the SchoolNurseNet community website offered by NASN. A reminder of these rules is sent on a semi-annual basis to foster trust and knowledge sharing.
