NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF SCHOOL NURSES 2018 ELECTIONS TAP NEW LEADERSHIP

Vice-President and Nominating Committee Member Elected

June 18, 2018 (Silver Spring, MD) – The members of the National Association of School Nurses (NASN) have elected Lynnette Ondeck, Med, BSN, RN, NCSN, District Nurse with Nooksack Valley School District in Washington State, as its incoming Vice-President.

In her role as Vice-President, Ms. Ondeck, a school nurse for more than 15 years, will assist the president and president-elect, serve as liaison to NASN Special Interest Groups, and provide strategic oversight for the NASN on-line communities to identify newly developing and current issues in school nursing.

In addition, NASN members elected Elizabeth Clark, MSN, RN, NCSN, a school nurse for 24 years in the Boulder Valley School District (Colorado), to the Nominating Committee.

In her role on the Nominating Committee, Ms. Clark will actively seek qualified candidates for NASN office, review each potential candidate’s documentation, and, with the committee, compile a qualified slate of candidates for submission to the president.

The installation for these two year terms will take place during NASN’s Annual Business Meeting at the Annual Conference in Baltimore, Maryland in June.
