    Hi all,

Congratulations and best wishes to all who are taking the exam!!

There are 4 nurses in my school district taking the test through the remote proctor program in the next two weeks.  We've read through the information sent out by NBCSN to prepare login.

Once you click "View my test" will there be another button at the test time that allows you to start the test?

Are there others who have taken the exam remotely that may be willing to share any tips?

    Thanks!

    Hi!

I am preparing to sit this summer.

I did see a page where you were able to "test your equipment," (camera and microphone).

There were also FAQs and other helpful info!

     Best wishes!

I attempted to take the exam via remote proctor 2 weeks ago. I did all of the system checks and assumed I was good to go as my computer passed all requirements. You can only log into the exam portal 30 minutes before your scheduled exam time. It was then that I learned you have to install the PSI secure browser app in order to access the exam. I did not see this information provided anywhere in my exam prep. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way that my work computer would not allow the app to be installed. By the time I got through to PSI IT support and they figured out the issue, I was unable to take the exam. All they could recommend for my next attempt was to make sure I have the most up to date version of Windows and that I use a personal device. You cannot install the program ahead of time, so I won't know if it works until 30 minutes before my exam appointment. I am scheduled to take it again on Monday and hope to have better luck this time.

I had a very bad experience with the remote proctoring. It is a long story, but I would never do that again... but I did pass!
