    Hi -

In reviewing the review book on vaccine spacing between doses, it states varicella vaccine is an exception with a 3 week minimum. This is new to me, having worked extensively with vaccines all of my nursing career. I don't see it mentioned in the CDC's vaccine schedule. Is this something new?

    Thank you -

    Charlotte

You are correct. This will be corrected in the new edition being developed. The minimal time between doses of varicella is 3 months.

I am taking the exam this Friday.  If they were to ask about Varicella minimal spacing, should we answer with what the book currently states (3 weeks) or the corrected spacing (3 mo)?

So, it will be 3 weeks or 3 months on the test?
