Program Differences

IN-PERSON NASN2022

Educational sessions will be presented in Atlanta, Georgia, June 28-30, 2022 (optional preconference on June 27, 2022).  Sessions will not be recorded or streamed. They must be viewed at the conference. 

14.75 NCPD CNE

The annual meeting will take place in Atlanta, Georgia only June 30, 2022, at 3:45 PM. This meeting gives NASN members the opportunity to gather together and celebrate the successes of the past year and learn about future activities that will advance the practice of school nursing.

Exhibits will take place in Atlanta, Georgia only June 28, 2022 (12:00 PM - 4:30 PM) and June 29, 2022 (10:15 AM - 12:45 PM).

Special events are planned for IN-PERSON NASN2022 including special interest group meetings and NASN Night In; a night of celebration.

VIRTUAL NASN2022

Educational sessions will be presented online, July 12 & 13, 2022. Sessions can be viewed when they are presented and recordings of the sessions can also be viewed through October 14, 2022. 

Additional sessions are included as "anytime" or on-demand sessions. These sessions can be viewed anytime beginning July 11, 2022 through October 14, 2022.

17.5 NCPD CNE

Sponsored sessions will be presented online only on July 11, 2022. These will be hosted by vendors and partners that have product information to share.

Informal meet-ups are planned for July 12, 2022 using Zoom rooms. These are not educational sessions.  More detail is forthcoming.

Viewing Sessions Cutoff Dates
IN-PERSON NASN2022: Content must be viewed in Georgia at the conference.  No content will be recorded or available to view after the event.

VIRTUAL NASN2022: Some of the content will be streamed in real time during the conference schedule.  This content will also be recorded and available to view through October 14, 2022.  NOTE: This event includes additional "anytime" or on-demand sessions that attendees can begin viewing on the first day of VIRTUAL NASN2022.  It will also be available to view through October 14, 2022.

The National Association of School Nurses is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

VIRTUAL NASN2022: Sessions streamed in real time will have closed captioning.  Session recordings will have closed captions and transcripts. 

Terms and Conditions of Attendance and Participation

Registrants agree to the terms and conditions during the registration process.  These form a binding legal contract between the NASN and the registered attendee or participant.

What is included with my IN-PERSON NASN2022 registration fee?

Admittance to educational sessions scheduled for June 28 - 30, 2022.
Admittance to NASN Night In (a night of celebration), the Annual Meeting and Exhibit Hall.
A printed program with syllabus containing session materials shared by speakers.
Up to 14.75 NCPD CNE.

NOTE: Lodging, travel, meals and preconference are additional expenses.

Are meals provided?

In general, meals are not provided. However, refreshments will be served in the exhibit hall on June 28, 2022 and June 29, 2022. In addition, NASN is continuing to plan details that may include providing food. Look for updates from NASN prior to the conference. 

How is NASN addressing health concerns?

NASN is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for IN-PERSON NASN2022 participants. Read the Health and Safety Protocols for more information.

When can I pick up conference materials?

The NASN Registration and Service Desk is open on June 26, 2022 at 3:00 PM Eastern and again at 7:00 AM the following four days. Signage will direct you to the desk where you can pick up your conference materials including name badge, program and syllabus.

NOTE: Name badges must be worn for admittance to all sessions and events. A name badge is proof of registration. Without it, individuals may not be allowed to participate in conference activities.

How do I access session handouts?

A printed program and syllabus is included in the IN-PERSON NASN2022 registration fee. Attendees will pick it up onsite.

A digital version will be available in June and is easy to access on any computer, tablet, or smartphone.

NOTE: The syllabus includes abstracts for each session and any materials provided by speakers. NASN makes every effort to collect speaker slides and handouts.

Do I need reserved seating for educational sessions?

Seating in educational sessions scheduled for June 28 - 30, 2022 is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Seating at the preconference on June 27, 2022 is reserved and requires a ticket be purchased when registering.

How do I obtain my Nursing Continuing Professional Development (NCPD) CNE?

How will I receive conference updates?

Email: NASN will primarily use email to provide information and updates. Please be sure your email is current. If you register and do not receive a confirmation email, be sure to reach out to NASN's customer service team to be sure your email is current.

Event App: The event app will be used by NASN to send important notifications throughout the conference. Scroll up to locate the app name and access/download information above.

NASN encourages attendees to bring a mobile device and download the conference event app. A mobile device can also be used to ask speaker questions during sessions. Be sure to keep the ringer turned off as a courtesy to others.

How do I access session handouts?

Will content be available after July 13, 2022?

VIRTUAL NASN2022 has a mix of sessions that will be presented July 11-13, 2022 and "anytime" or on-demand sessions that will be available to view anytime beginning July 11, 2022.

For the best experience and engagement, NASN encourages attendees to view sessions that are presented when they are presented. However, all sessions will be recorded and available for viewing through October 14, 2022.

NOTE: NASN reserves the right to withhold or limit access to recordings based on agreements with speakers. Attendees will be notified if this is applicable. 

What kind of engagement will there be at VIRTUAL NASN2022?

During the sponsored sessions on July 11, 2022, sponsors will join attendees in the text-based chat to discuss their products and answer questions while the session is airing. Attendance at sponsored sessions is linked to random prize drawings. Stay tuned for more information and detail about this.

During the educational sessions on July 12 & 13, 2022, attendees can chat with other attendees in the text-based chat, respond to polls, and submit questions to speakers.  Immediately following each educational session, speakers will appear live on camera to participate in a Q&A using questions submitted by attendees. 

Following each educational session, NASN will post a discussion thread with a few details about the session. Attendees may use the thread to discuss the session with other attendees.

On July 12, 2022, NASN is planning to host a few information meet-ups using Zoom rooms.  Stay tuned for more information and detail about these.
