In December, NASN President Kate King will lead a delegation of NASN members to visit Havana, Cuba. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to delve into the intersection between the healthcare and education systems in Cuba, with a special focus on the pivotal role of the school nurse. We extend our invitation to you to experience our specialized practice of nursing through the eyes of our international counterparts.
Due to the extensive planning involved in coordinating a program of this nature, we ask that you respond with your intentions by completing the NASN Citizen Ambassador Program Application Form by September 1, 2024. The size of this delegation is limited to ensure a high quality of professional interaction.
This delegation will travel under an OFAC general license for professional research. The Citizen Ambassador Program will coordinate all aspects of the program to ensure the delegation's compliance with OFAC regulations.
As a delegate, you will be responsible for your program costs, which include round-trip flights, the professional program, accommodations, ground transportation, cultural activities, most meals, and other costs associated with participation.
