The holiday season brings us many joys, including spending time with family and enjoying winter festivities. Of course, it is also a time filled with kindness and generosity toward others.
For school nurses, when we talk about giving, it is often in reference to our students – an important but sometimes daunting task. NASN's latest program, Stats4Vax: Improving teen vaccination rates one school nurse at a time offers wonderful content to help you give, in our own “school nurse way,” by educating teens and their parents and guardians about the importance of vaccination. Too many teens remain under-vaccinated,1,2 and this holiday season I encourage all of you to help see that more of our students are up-to-date on their immunizations.
It’s one of the greatest gifts we can offer!

If you haven’t already, check out the Stats4Vax Resource Library, which is full of easy-to-use, customizable tools that can help you conduct important vaccination discussions with your students. The tools can be used all year round, but I encourage you to use them this holiday season as an opportunity to educate.
Let’s show our students we care by educating them on how to be their healthiest this holiday season! Visit www.Stats4Vax.com now to get started!
Wishing you the happiest of holidays from all of us at NASN.
