  • 1.  Annual Discussion List Monitor Report Due June 6th

    The following message is sent on behalf of NASN Vice President, Tia Campbell.

    Thank you for your efforts in monitoring discussions and helping NASN discussion lists thrive in the SchoolNurseNet community site.  Your discussion list monitor annual report is due by the end of next week, June 6th.  Below are instructions for completing the report.  

    If you have questions about the report or any other duties assigned to discussion lists monitors, please let me know.  You can also review your discussion list monitor role online at: http://www.nasn.org/Portals/0/community/list_monitor_duties.pdf.  

    If you have any questions about the submission form, please contact Sharon Conley at sconley@nasn.org.

    Completing your report:

    A. Before you begin, gather and prepare this information:
    1. Number of messages posted to your list. *
    2. Number of subscribers on your list.*
    3. Topics that are popular on your list. (limit your response to 100 words)     
    4. Topics that appear to need more education, resources, and/or policy and that NASN may want to address. (limit your response to 250 words)
    5. Recommendations you would like to make regarding the status of your list or NASN Discussion Lists in general, i.e. new lists, discontinuing lists, merging lists, etc. (limit your response to 100 words)     
    6. Narrative from Monitor - include what you have done to advertise your list, increase the number of posts to your list, promote NASN resources and programs on your list, and/or promote evidence-based practice on your list. (limit your response to 250 words)

    B. After you gather and prepare the information outlined above, enter it in NASN's online submission form. 
    Read through instructions on each page of the submission form as it has changed since last year.  
    Go to https://portal.nasn.org/members_online/submissions/substart.asp > LOGIN > Select Discussion List Monitor Annual Report > and continue.

    Hi folk, just checking in to follow up on the discussion list monitor report. 

    Sheila was completing her report and had a great question.  She wanted to know if she should go back into the old system to pull information for her report or just pull it from the new system here on SchoolNurseNet.

    In talking with Tia, she said that, if you did not go back into the old system, you should mention it in your report so that we know the information is a snapshot from the time we moved the lists to the new system in December 2013.
