New SchoolNurseNet Email Format and Functionality

  • 1.  New SchoolNurseNet Email Format and Functionality

    Posted 09-30-2014 16:23
    Good afternoon!  I'm excited to report some MAJOR changes to the email we send to and from SchoolNurseNet that are rolling out this week.  You should start seeing these changes beginning tomorrow with some being released then and some later this week.

    These changes were developed with these goals in mind:
    - to make the email messages more user friendly;
    - to be mobile friendly; AND
    - to make using discussion lists easier.

    Read about these changes below OR watch a 25-minute orientation I presented to the NASN staff today:

    As always, please email me with questions or concerns.  Thank you for your time and commitment to the individuals who use SchoolNurseNet!

    Changes to the format of the email messages:
    - Cleaned up the email messages so they are not so cluttered with links that are rarely used;
    - Organized the list of messages in the Digest emails by topic and included the first few words of the author's message;
    - Made the most popular action buttons larger and easier to see; and
    - Made the messages responsive so they resize the content to fit the size of the screen whether it be a laptop screen, tablet, or mobile phone.

    Changes to the functionality of SchoolNurseNet discussion list messages:
    - You will be able to initiate new messages to your groups from your email program instead of having to go to SchoolNurseNet to initiate and send a messages.  Group email addresses will be shared with you as soon as this functionality is turned on this week.
    - You will be able to reply to messages from your email program instead of being sent to SchoolNurseNet to compose and send your replies.

    This new functionality will be turned on this week and follow-up details will be sent.  Please stay tuned!!
