I always think Primary is how do we keep ourselves safe and protected. That would be immunizations, educating on bike safety, etc. Secondary, think Screenings (breast exam, physical) and if you have for example, asthma how can we avoid flare-ups (avoid the irritant) or treating high blood pressure with medication.
Hope that helps!

I have always considered immunizations primary prevention. The prevention of disease.
Secondary prevention is early detection.
This may help

Are immunizations primary or secondary prevention?
I have two textbooks that are contradicting. They are both older versions.
