I am happy and relieved to share that I passed the certification exam this morning! I am now Taria Lee BSN, RN, NCSN. I am especially proud of myself because this certification is not a requirement here in Florida or in my school district but I wanted to challenge myself personally and professionally. The resources I used to prepare were the review text, the two 75-question practice tests, and my 5 years of school nursing experience. I completed all the practice questions in the review book and read the rationales for all the questions. I also completed the 75-question practice tests a couple of times in the last month. I found the test challenging but fair because if you adequately prepare and use good test-taking skills, I think you should be ok.
Now my summer officially begins and I can relax and enjoy the next 2 weeks before I return to work to start the new school year. Good luck to everyone that will be taking the test soon!!
