Hi Sharon and everyone that manages their state's micro website,  I have been a member here for a long time, and a manager, but because life happens, I have not been active.  I want to do better now, and I have a suggestion and question.   I would like to have a monthly or weekly notes to send to my members to show them new items on the NASN website that are available to them.  In my state both our micro site and NASN is underutilized.  My suggestion is to streamline this process with others so that one person has to do all of the work.  If we each take a few topics and dates of when we send notes out, we could send them out to this group and if community monitors want to use the note they can.

My question is:  has this already been done?  If it has been done where can I find the info to send to my nurses in SD.

If it has not been done yet, can we put this on the agenda for our next meeting?

Hello, I struggle with trying to keep our Microsite active and current as well. Sharon is extremely helpful when I am needing major changes. We have the latest news from NASN on our front page that I had increased to 4 items that get there automatically from NASN. Sharon helped fix that to increase connection. I don't know if the kind of things you are talking about would fall under that but it would be worth discussing at our next meeting.Glad you are back!!

Good afternoon Rita - thank you for the question.

Sending regularly scheduled updates to members about the resources available to them is a wonderful thing to do.

I'm not sure what other school nurse organizations are doing but NASN does something like this quarterly with the Quarterly Connection. We email this enewsletter to members only and post a link to each edition on this web page, which is also visible to members only: https://www.nasn.org/membership/benefits/nasn-quarterly-connection

Please use it as a reference to send updates to your members. You could break the content into smaller "bites" and send a bite each week or month. You could focus on different content categories such as "online learning," "advocacy resources," "practice resources," "latest happenings," other.

I hope this is helpful to you. Happy new year!!
