Could you share the actual information about this , as I too am fighting for salary increase after obtaining my NCSN. My union will not recognize this accomplishment!

I know that MA nurses can use their NCSN in lieu of a mater's degree.

Subject: Stipend or Contractual Increase in Pay for NBCSN Certification
Good morning all,
Curious to know if any NBCSN certified nurses have received a pay increase (whether via an annual stipend or a "step up" in your pay scale) after becoming NBCSN certified? At this time, nurses in our districts are part of our teacher's union and are paid according to educational experience. For those who have a BSN, they're paid on a much smaller scale than even a first year teacher as our educational requirements for our jobs are quite different. (For example, a 20-year experienced nurse without a Master's Degree makes much less than a third year master's degree educator).
We are looking for any feedback from districts that have offered non-master's certified nurses any salary increase after becoming certified (as this is one more way to show that we are experts in our field!).
Feel free to reach out via this thread or email me directly at jreed@ipsk12.net
