Greetings
It is that time of year again. The Discussion Monitor Annual Report is due May 22. I would like to thank each of you for the time you devote to making SNN communities a success.
You may access the Discussion Monitor report at: http://portal.nasn.org/members_online/submissions/substart.asp The SNN tools make it very easy to submit your report. It should take very long at all.
Below is the information you need to complete your report. Most information is located on your community home page.
1. Name of Discussion List AND Name of List Monitor.
2. Number of messages posted to your list. The total can be found in "Discussions" header.
3. Number of subscribers on your list. This total in "members".
4. Topics that are popular on your list. If you are on the community home, click on the "Discussions" tab. Then click on the column header "replies" to the right in the red bar. The system will sort the messages by those with the most replies.
5. Topics that appear to need more education, resources, and/or policy and that NASN may want to address. This is subjective and will be determined by the monitor and what he/she discerns from the group's discussions.
6. Recommendations you would like to make regarding the status of your list or NASN Discussion Lists in general, i.e. new lists, discontinuing lists, merging lists, etc. This is your opinion (limit to 100 words).
7. Narrative from Monitor - Include what you have done to advertise your list, increase the number of posts to your list, promote NASN resources and programs on your list, and/or promote evidence-based practice on your list. This is your reflection (limit to 250 words).
If you have questions about the report or any other duties assigned to discussion lists monitors, please let me know. You can also review your discussion list monitor role in the Discussion Monitor Community library at http://schoolnursenet.nasn.org/communities/community-home/librarydocuments?communitykey=ec8de1d3-e587-4cf3-a47c-1804340f4059&tab=librarydocuments
If you have any problems completing the report contact Sharon Conley at sconley@nasn.org
Thanks again for all you do.
