Stacy Barber received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from George Mason University in 1993, and a Master of Science in Nursing Informatics from Western Governors University in 2024. Stacy is currently working as a Coordinator of Student Health Services at Loudoun County Public Schools. Driven by a passion for lifelong learning and professional growth, Stacy is dedicated to advancing the field of school nursing and championing innovative solutions that improve nursing workflows. Her commitment to optimizing processes allows school nurses to spend more time focusing on the individual needs of students, supporting their health, wellness, and educational success. Stacy’s professional interests include leveraging technology to streamline documentation, enhance care coordination, and address social determinants of health. She actively collaborates with IT specialists and educational leaders to implement quality improvement initiatives that promote health equity and empower nurses to make a meaningful impact in their communities. Some current projects include the George Mason University School Nurse Leadership Academy and the Virginia Department of Education School Health Data Workgroup. Stacy is a member of the Virginia Association of School Nurses, the National Association of School Nurses, and Sigma Theta Tau.
