How do we deal with the posting of jobs?  I sent out a mail to the PPSN listserv.   Do I remove the post from the archives and posts, and if so,  how do I do that?

Is there anything else I need to do?   As summer gets nearer I am seeing more postings for camp jobs.  Maybe a reminder to all lists should go out from NASN?

    Thanks!

    Thanks for the question Gail.

Susan Zacharski, our Vice President, recently sent a notice to the All Member Forum and we do remove the offending messages.  Sometimes the messages almost cross a line of going against the rules but not quite.  In those cases, we don't remove the messages.  Susan has also communicated directly with individuals on this topic.  The code of conduct is referenced in communications http://schoolnursenet.nasn.org/codeofconduct1

Sheila Caldwell addresses her group and removes messages too, I believe.

    Thanks for all you do.

    Hi Gail

Thanks for bringing this conversation up.  If you need a post removed let Sharon Conley know.  In addition, a short email from you to the person who made the post should be made. There have been a couple of reminders on the All Member Forum.

Here is suggested language for a message about job postings.

Suggested subject line: Employment Position Postings Violate Code of Conduct

    Hi Folks
The SchoolNurseNet Code of Conduct (http://schoolnursenet.nasn.org/codeofconduct1) prohibits advertising and commercial postings.  This includes employment postings.  Please feel free to direct message individuals with this information but please do not use the full discussion list medium to share an employment posting.

For any other monitors that are seeing a problem with job postings, please send this message to your discussion group.

    Thanks,

    Sue
